A beloved Iowa teacher and basketball coach is now recovering after undergoing surgery for a cancerous brain tumor, but not before a special send-off from his team in Denison.KMTV reports students and staff praise Adam Burns for being a selfless person, so they wanted to give back to the man who's given them so much. They organized a send-off right before he went into surgery. "When our school teams make it to state, we do something like this, we did it for state basketball our sophomore year, and Coach Burns loved it, so we thought it was just a way to make his day better," Paige Anderson said.The basketball team says they'll keep supporting Coach Burns as he recovers. Some future plans include a golf tournament, a bake sale and a dodgeball tournament.
