New Delhi: The governments of India and South Korea have held consultations on disarmament and non-proliferation of nuclear, chemical and biological substances, as well as regional non-proliferation issues, outer space security, and conventional weapons, including artificial intelligence in the military sector.
The consultations were held in Seoul on April 26, 2024, with the participation of the Indian delegation led by Muanpuii Saiawi, Joint Secretary (Disarmament and International Security Affairs) of the Ministry of External Affairs of India, and the RoK delegation led by Youn Jong Kwon, Director General for Non-Proliferation and Nuclear Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of RoK.
The two sides discussed the developments in the field of disarmament and non-proliferation and the importance of maintaining international peace and stability.
