Where Was ‘Sirens’ on Netflix Filmed? All the Show’s Locations, Including That Stunning Mansion
Netflix’s new dark comedy series, Sirens, offers up gorgeous New England summer vibes with a dash of cult creepiness. Much of the show, which debuted on May 22, 2025, takes place at a huge island mansion, which has left many fans wondering where Sirens was filmed and whether or not the massive home can be visited in real life. Life & Style has all the details about the series’ various filming locations.
Where Does Netflix’s ‘Sirens’ Take Place?
Most of Sirens takes place over Labor Day Weekend at the fictional Cliff House, a massive estate owned by socialite Michaela Kell (Julianne Moore) and security billionaire Peter Kell (Kevin Bacon).
While the name of the island that houses Cliff House is never said on the show, a sign in the town reveals the name to be “Port Haven.” It’s believed to be located somewhere in New England, as Simone DeWitt’s (Milly Alcock) sister, Devon DeWitt (Meghann Fahy), travels from their hometown of Buffalo, New York, to rescue her. Think somewhere along the lines of Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket in Massachusetts.
Where Was Netflix’s ‘Sirens’ Filmed?
The unnamed island in Sirens is fictional, and sadly, so is Cliff House. Netflix used the Caumsett State Historic Park Preserve, including the Henry Lloyd Manor House, in Lloyd Harbor, New York, to film the grounds for the mansion, and they used CGI to turn the 100-year-old buildings into the modern home and nature preserve seen in Sirens, according to Realtor.com.
The good news is that, if fans want to visit Caumsett, the park is open all week, year-round, from sunset to sundown.
For Cliff House’s interior shots, Netflix utilized a sound stage at Steiner Studios in Brooklyn, New York, according to Tudum.
“The home is a big character on the show … You show up on set and you see this home, and I literally went, ‘Do you think someone actually, humanly, in real life, lives in places like this?’” Felix Solis, who plays Jose in Sirens, told the outlet.
Sirens used other locations in Lloyd Harbor, New York, to create the island’s neighborhood, as well. Lloyd Harbor is a small beach community with a population of just 4,000 people — some of whom are big stars. Billy Joel, Angelina Jolie and Jerry Seinfeld have had homes in the area, Realtor.com reported. The properties in the area are often expensive, with prices ranging from $675,000 to $19.5 million.
Sirens reportedly also briefly filmed scenes at a coastal property on Oregon Road in Cutchogue, New York, according to Newsday. The Long Island Sound is also visible in scenes where viewers can see the water surrounding the Kells’ mansion.
What Is Netflix’s ‘Sirens’ About?
After receiving a fruit basket from her sister, who has failed to respond to her texts or calls in light of their father’s health struggles, Devon sets out from Buffalo to confront Simone at her summer job as an assistant to a socialite on a New England island. However, when she arrives, she finds Simone in what appears to be a bird-worshipping cult led by Michaela. Devon is also unsettled by Simone’s unusually close relationship with Michaela. She decides that it’s time for an intervention, but Michaela won’t let Simone leave without a fight.
All five episodes of Sirens are now streaming on Netflix.
